Darrick Lucchesi, professionally ranked AMA rider and former instructor at West Coast Supermoto School, had taken the last four years off from competition. He came back into racing supermoto this season, sponsored by Aprilia USA and finished with a perfect record and the Infineon Raceway championship. “After not racing the last fours years and to come out of retirement like this is almost not real,” said Lucchesi. “It went perfect…never lost a main event and even won all my heats but one (2nd). Also won my class at XTRM Supermoto National in May at Infineon raceway. My Aprilia SXV was perfect all year!”
